UK Parliament Ratify Australia-UK Free Trade Agreement (AUKFTA) by Default
The UK Government has ratified the AUKFTA by default, following the lapse of the 21-day Parliamentary scrutiny period which ended on the July 20. Ratification of the AUKFTA without debate or vote in the House of Commons has reignited concerns of the UK Government’s appetite for scrutiny of its trade policy. Read more.

 

Exporter Supply Chain Service Launched
Trade and Tourism Minister, the Hon. Don Farrell has announced the Exporter Supply Chain Service which will provide real-time information on supply chains and logistics to Australian exporters. The service will commence on August 1 to offset the winding down of the International Freight Assistance Mechanism (IFAM) on June 30, and will be administered by Austrade. The Exporter Supply Chain Service is not designed to replace IFAM but to provide support for exporters navigating the new world of supply chain challenges. Read more.
