Workplace relations update | December 9, 2022

IR Reforms
On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Secure Jobs, Better Pay) Act 2022 received Royal Assent.
Resultingly, key changes to the Fair Work Act 2009 have come into effect and others will commence at various stages over the coming months.
ACCI is currently preparing guides on the changes to Australia’s industrial relations system. The first guide which will relate to the non-bargaining changes contained in the new legislation aims to be provided to members before Christmas.
Workplace Policy Committee Meeting
ACCI is currently arranging a WPC meeting to be held in-person in Sydney, likely at the beginning of February 2023. Details will be provided once confirmed
