As part of your membership package, all ACCI and ICC Australia members are welcome to attend the National Policy Committee Meeting.
If you are interested in attending, please contact the ACCI team.
ACCI 2023 National Trade Survey now open
Make your voice heard by participating in ACCI’s 2023 National Trade Survey. The survey is open now for responses.
The challenges your business face and your priorities are important. Participating in the survey ensures they are part of ACCI’s advocacy to government and directly inform government policy.
ACCI’s National Trade Survey is the only survey of its kind and provides a rare opportunity for trading businesses to have their say. With high global inflation and possible recession, and major geopolitical tensions impacting international markets – it’s critical that your priorities are heard at the highest levels.
This year’s survey, the sixth ACCI has conducted, includes new questions on carbon border adjustment mechanisms, risk management and supply chain disruptions. It is open to all businesses – not just importing and exporting businesses.
To make sure your priorities are represented, please take the time to complete the survey.
India-Australia Economic Cooperation & Trade Agreement
The IA-ECTA came into force on December 29, 2022. Within the first week of the free trade agreement coming into force, more than $390 million worth of Australia exports have benefitted from tariff elimination or reductions. As Australia’s leading issuer of Certificates of Origin, ACCI and its network of state chambers have played a key role in achieving this outcome.
World Chambers Federation
ACCI congratulates the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which has won the bid as the co-organiser to host the 14th World Chambers Congress in September 2025 in Melbourne. The proposed theme is “ESG change starts here”, with the congress leading businesses of all sizes to rethink the need to incorporate ESG criteria in their practices.
Andrew McKellar elected to WCF
ACCI chief executive Andrew McKellar has been elected to the ICC World Chambers Federation General Council (WCF). The WCF provides a platform for chamber leaders to communicate and collaborate with each other on matters of mutual interest and facilitates beneficial partnerships. WCF represents more than 1400 chambers worldwide providing tools to support chambers and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
