Jobs and Skills Australia
ACCI has been appointed a member of the interim advisory body of Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA). JSA is an independent agency responsible for providing advice to the government on current, emerging and future labour market and workforce skills and training needs. The working group will meet to assist the head of JSA, Professor Peter Dawkins AO, to develop the work plan for the interim JSA over the coming months.
Employment and Skill Committee
The Employment and Skills Committee met virtually on Thursday the first time in 2023. The meeting was an opportunity for members to discuss and agree on ACCI’s policy position to microcredentials, a topic that had not been previously defined. Members used the meeting to highlight both work underway and key issues in migration, employment, apprenticeships and vocational education and training.
