EU FTA Debrief
Last week ACCI hosted and facilitated a virtual debrief on the European Union-Australia Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with special guest speaker Alison Burrows, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Australian Chief Negotiator for the EU FTA. Alison provided an overview of the EU-Australia FTA followed by a Q&A session.
The session was attended and well received by state chambers, industry associations and arbitrators covering the full scope of the proposed agreement, from goods, services, and dispute resolution.

ICC Australia Plenary Session
ICC Australia on arbitration held its first plenary session. The virtual session provided a briefing on ICC Australia operations, the annual programme of events, the benefits of ICC Australia, an opportunities for members to be involved. The session was followed by a short Q&A.
ICC Australia Arbitration Committee inaugural chair Mark Mangan opened the session followed by an introduction of ICC Australia by Jennifer Younan, and an overview of the Steering Committee for Arbitration was provided by Emily Hay, Duncan Miller and Carmel Proudfoot. The session was well attended by arbitrators based in Australia, Asia and Europe.

ACCI is participating in the Anti-Dumping Commission’s International Trade Remedies Forum Sub-Committee on Strengthening the Anti-Dumping system, alongside other industry, trade union, and government representatives.
