Vaccine Administration Partners Program (COVID-19 workplace vaccinations)
Following the latest COVID-19 booster advice released last month by ATAGI, businesses and similar groups can use the Vaccine Administration Partners Program (VAPP) panel to facilitate workplace or community COVID-19 vaccinations for staff through a dedicated Enterprise Order pathway.
The VAPP was launched in 2021 to support the large-scale vaccination of Australians in a range of employment and community settings. While the original priority of the VAPP was to support vulnerable cohorts through an in-reach model, there has always been a facility for businesses and other eligible entities to use the panel as well.
To date, more than 65 commercial arrangements have been entered into with immunisation providers, or ‘IProviders’, to deliver COVID-19 vaccination services to businesses under the VAPP.
This year the VAPP team is also helping to coordinate co-administration of COVID-19 vaccines with seasonal flu vaccinations. Co-administration has been approved since early 2022 and has numerous benefits, including increasing vaccination uptake and helping to reduce staff absenteeism over the winter months.
If you are interested in utilising the panel or require more information, please reach out to the VAPP team to schedule a meeting.
