Delegates’ Rights
ACCI’s comments on the draft delegates’ rights award term, which the Fair Work Commission published on 10 May, were provided this week and can be accessed here.
These comments represent the last submission before publication of the final determination, which will result in a delegates’ rights term for all modern awards.
The Commission will publish the final determination on 28 June. The term will commence on 1 July.
Right to Disconnect
ACCI has provided its initial submission to the Fair Work Commission on their process to vary modern awards, including the right to disconnect. The submission is accessible here.
The term should be constrained to the legislative provisions and not venture beyond the legislation.
ACCI will oppose any attempt by unions to impose new obligations on employers or provide new rights to employees.
