Our Policy Principles:

Increase community understanding of the importance of skilled migration to the economy and society.

Advocate for the restoration of a more responsive skilled migration program.

Improve all aspects of the skilled migration program to better reflect industry demand

Review civil sanctions relating to the employment of illegal workers, to ensure they are reflective of industry recruitment standards.

Restore public confidence in temporary working visas including the working holiday visa, temporary skilled visa and student visa.

Ensure visa fees and arrangements are internationally competitive.

Encourage free flow of labour, both in and out of Australia, with particular focus on improving connections with Australia’s Asian neighbours.

Ensure the ANZSCO Occupation Lists for permanent and temporary migration are more responsive to industry needs and advocate for improved process which is more flexible and responsive.

Ensure a review of the ANZSCO Occupation List is undertaken by the Australian Bureau of Statistics as soon as possible.
