Updated apprenticeship incentive guidelines
Updated Australian Apprenticeships Incentive System guidelines were published on 1 June.
The guidelines have been updated to reflect the changes to the New Energy Apprenticeships Program announced in May, which will expand the eligible apprenticeships.
Previously, the apprentice had to work exclusively on clean energy-related activities. Under the changes, an apprentice must be provided with meaningful exposure experience and work in the clean energy sector, appropriate to skill level and/or off-the-job training.
GTOs will also be eligible to participate in the program, where they can demonstrate their ability to do so.
