Australian Training Awards
On Friday night last week ACCI attended the Australian Training Awards in Adelaide to see Minister O’Connor and the state and territory Ministers from SA, NT, ACT, QLD and QLD hand out 16 awards to vocational education providers, employers and students. It was great to see so many successful organisations truly value the vocational education experience and using innovative methods to achieve success. It was great to see two women awarded Apprentice of the Year, Jennah Halley and Trainee of the Year, Brittany-Leigh Wragg who both had very moving stories which will hopefully encourage more women to undertake VET training.
