Interim Director of Jobs & Skills Australia announced
Professor Peter Dawkins AO has been announced as the Interim Director of Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA). He is Emeritus Professor of Economics at the Mitchell Institute for Education and Health Policy at Victoria University, where he was the Vice-Chancellor and President from 2011 until 2020, more information here. He recently authored the Review of University-Industry Collaboration in Teaching and Learning with Professor Martin Bean.
Inquiry into the perceptions of VET
The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Employment, Education and Training has launched an inquiry into the perceptions and status of vocational education and training (VET) in Australia. This has come directly from Minister O’Connor’s office and ACCI will be making a submission before the deadline of March 1, 2023. More info here.
