Jobs and Skills Australia Bill
ACCI has had ongoing discussion with the office of the Minister for Skills, Brendan O’Connor, in relation to the upcoming legislation to create the permanent Jobs and Skills Australia. We understand it will be potentially introduced in the middle of next week. It is anticipated that it will be sent to committee where comment will be sought again from interested parties on the legislation. This will provide the last opportunity to raise any concerns in relation to the legislation. ACCI will be putting in a submission.
Nominations open for the 2023 Australian Training Awards
Nominations have opened for the 2023 Australian Training Awards, which will be held in Hobart in November. There are five direct entry categories including Apprenticeship Employer, Innovation in VET, Outstanding Achievement in VET and Skills Sector Award. See more information here.
