Jobs and Skills Australia 

On Wednesday night the Jobs and Skills Australia (JSA) interim legislation passed the Senate, abolishing the National Skills Commission.  There were some very late amendments to the bill, with universities now included and a requirement for a report to be tabled in Parliament annually. It is expected that JSA will be operational by mid-November and the next step will be the announcement of the interim CEO.
