Minister for Trade and Tourism, Don Farrell has called a roundtable of senior leaders of tourism peak bodies next Friday. John Hart, executive chair – ACCI Tourism will be attending along with a number of our members. In preparation, we have arranged a roundtable strategy meeting for members next week to ensure consistent messaging and a coordinated approach so we can make the most out of the time with the Minister.
This follows the meeting of the Tourism Committee in Canberra yesterday, with a productive discussion focused on priorities and our advocacy plan going forward. Samantha Palmer, general manager of Austrade’s Visitor Economy and Client Programs Division and other representatives from Austrade joined us for an update on the implementation of the THRIVE 2030: The Re-Imagined Visitor Economy strategy.
