ACCI hosts a Thai Delegation

Following ACCI’s meeting with the newly appointed Thai Ambassador to Australia Arjaree Sriratanaban last month, ACCI was pleased to host the Thailand Minister of Labour Suchart Chomklin, Thai Ambassador Arjaree Sriratanaban, Thai ministers and Australian industry associations in conjunction with ACCI General Council.

As one of Australia’s most important trading partners, the discussion focused on the importance of Australia-Thailand bilateral and potential opportunities for Thai skilled labour in the agricultural, hospitality, tourism and automotive sectors in Australia. 

ACCI President Nola Watson and ACCI CEO Andrew McKellar hosted and facilitated a discussion between the Thai delegation and ACCI members.

 

 

Meeting with the Georgian Ambassador 

On Tuesday, ACCI Head of Trade and International Affairs Chris Barnes met with the newly arrived Georgian Ambassador Beka Dvali to discuss diversification of Australia-Georgia trade markets, supply chain, investment strategies and an interest in exploring further opportunities in the bilateral relationship. 

ACCI welcomes Beka Dvali’s appointment as the Georgian Ambassador to Australia last November and was honoured to have the Ambassador visit so early into his posting. He brings to the role a wealth of diplomatic experience in South Africa, the United States and Europe. 

 

 

National Farmers Federation International Engagement and Trade Forum 

ACCI Head of Trade and International Affairs Chris Barnes presented at the National Farmers Federation International Engagement and Trade Forum followed by a short Q&A session. In Chris’ presentation, he highlighted ACCI’s work in international engagement forums. He also raised a range of opportunities for ACCI and the NFF to work more closely together on trade issues.
