Indonesia-Australia Skills Development Exchange Pilot Project
DFAT has provided details of an opportunity to further expand the economic integration between Indonesia and Australia.

This pilot project focuses on employees in the financial and insurance services, mining, engineering and related technical services, and information media and telecommunications services sectors.  Exchanges of up to six months will give employees the opportunity to share skills and gain on-the-job practical experience.

OECD Guidelines on Multinational Enterprises (MNE)
As part of the OECD’s stocktake and decision to undertake a targeted update of the Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (MNE Guidelines), BIAC is interested in engaging with organisations interested in getting involved in the process as this issue progresses.

Interested members should contact the ACCI team to express their interest.

The MNE Guidelines are the most comprehensive code of responsible business conduct that governments have committed to promoting. The Guidelines reflect expectations from governments to businesses on how to invest responsibly covering all areas where business ethics, including human rights, labour, environment, bribery, consumer interests, as well as information disclosure, science and technology, competition, and taxation.

 

6th Annual Asia-Pacific Commercial Mediation Competition
ICC Australia was delighted to once again support the Asia-Pacific Commercial Mediation Competition, which was held on 28-30 August. 

A particular congratulations is due to the winning team from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, who have now secured a place to compete in the 18th Annual ICC Mediation Competition in 2023. Congratulations also to their fellow finalists, Lloyd Law College, India, and to the more than 20 teams that competed. 

ICC Australia partners with the Australian Disputes Centre to deliver the competition annually.
