Business at the OECD

Business at OECD (BIAC) speaks for business at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The OECD comprises 34 industrialised nations. A national business association from each member nation is a member of BIAC. The Australian Chamber represents Australian business in this forum.

BIAC stands for policies that enable businesses of all sizes to contribute to growth, economic development and prosperity. Through Business at OECD, national business organisations and their members provide expertise to the OECD and governments to support policies that will deliver competitive economies, better business, and better lives.

BIAC develops public policy recommendations on matters including trade liberalisation, sustainable development, taxation, finance, intellectual property and e-commerce.

BIAC’s regular engagement with the OECD helps support members such as the Australian Chamber network in generating growth and prosperity, and ensuring that sustainably and doing business can contribute to living standards and the community. BIAC’s policy groups cover key areas of the OECD’s work that are most relevant to business.

Being part of BIAC provides Australian Chamber members and Australian businesses with access to these policy groups to ensure the voice of Australian business is heard domestically and internationally.
