David Alexander is the Chief of Policy and Advocacy at the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).
ACCI is Australia’s largest business organisation, representing employers of every size and sector.
David has long experience working in policy and politics in Canberra, and now leads ACCI’s policy team.
He worked as an adviser to Treasurer Peter Costello from the time of introducing GST tax reform until 2007, and retains a strong interest in tax, competition, investment, and broader economic policy.
David worked as an industry policy adviser at the Master Builders Association, economics editor at the Canberra Times, and most recently worked as Managing Director (Federal) at Barton Deakin Government Relations.
David has degrees from the University of Sydney and the University of New England.
