Submission | Australian Building and Construction Commission: Background information for parliamentarians

The Australian building and construction industry is plagued with lawlessness, excessive costs and weak productivity. The Government has proposed to tackle these problems with the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Bill 2013, which will restore the Australian Building and Construction Commission, a body that was in place from 2005 to 2012.
